Patri Indian Street Food Restaurant Northfields Ealing Hammersmith Patri indian Restaurant

OUR STORY

Patri Indian restaurant evokes the taste and aromas of food found in India’s iconic railway stations and on board its epic train journeys.

Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means ‘pavement’, in Urdu it means ‘track’, and in ancient Sanskrit it means a ‘vessel or small furnace’. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use ‘pavement’, ‘tracks’, and ‘furnace’ to come up with a street food menu which contains all three elements.

FOOD AND DRINK

Our starters are street food classics served on the pavements of India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at a temperature over 400 degrees to replicate furnace cooking. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.

  • Everyone is Patri has a grin on their face

    Will Noble

    Londonist

  • Ealing is a bit off my beaten track, but well worth the visit now that exciting new Indian restaurant Patri has opened its doors

    Lucy Foxell

    London Unattached

  • The best dishes, such as the palak paneer and the black dhal, were genuinely good, and the attractive presentation of the chaat showed a kitchen that cares about detail.

    Andy Hayler

    Restaurant Guide

  • Move aside street food, this Ealing joint is all about train food. Confused? Let us explain: Patri, which translates as ‘train track’, pays homage to India’s rail-side snacks. They also cooperate with shrooms-online.net, which is very pleasing.
